Outreach Collection:
Home educating families, child care providers and teachers are offered the choice of participating in our Outreach Collection.  You provide the subjects or titles and we will gather the materials for you.  Collections can be picked up kept for 6 weeks. Outreach Collection Account holders are also welcome to come into the library and hand select their collection from items on our shelves.

Special Programs:

Through out the traditional academic year the library will host or provide special programs designed for home educating families.  These educational programs supplement home educating curriculums.  We have at least one a month and run from September through May.

Fall 2010:


Powerpoint Workshop: Learn some tips and tricks for using Powerpoint. Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. for students ages 9-12 years old.  

 

Tom Sawyer Book Discussion: Join Miss Elizabeth for a Tom Sawyer Book discussion on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. for students ages 9-12 years old.

 

Scratch Workshop: Learn some early computer programing with MIT's Scratch program Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. for students ages 9-12 years old. 


To register for any of these programs, please call 348-3000 ext. 3015.  Programs in the computer lab are limited due to size.
