Lackawanna County Library System users now have access to three different services for at-home downloadable e-media:

1. OverDrive

First Time and Returning Users of the OverDrive service can Click Here to go directly to the OverDrive main page.

Download electronic versions of audiobooks to play on your computer or MP3 player. Some titles can also be burnt to a CD.

To log on to OverDrive, you will need your Lackawanna County Library System card number (printed on the back of your library card, underneath the barcode).

Loan Period:
Duration: 14 Days

Limit: 10 Titles

Only one user at a time can check out a title. As a result, you may have to place a hold on the desired title.

Please note that there is no way to check a book back in early. Each book stays attached to your account for a full 21 days.

iPod/Mac Compatibility
At this time, OverDrive audiobooks cannot be played on iPods. iPods and Macs do not have the ability to play .wma files with the Digital Rights Management protection currently used by the OverDrive system.

3. MyLibraryDV

Download videos and movies to play on your computer.

MyLibraryDV is brought to you by the Scranton District Library Center.

2. Recorded Books

Download eAudioBooks to play on your computer or MP3 player. Includes titles published by Recorded Books.

  2. Enter your valid Lackawanna County Library System library card number.
  3. After entering the netLibrary page, select eAudiobooks.

Please note that there is no way to check a book back in early. Each book stays attached to your account for a full 21 days.

iPod/Mac Compatibility:
At this time, NetLibrary audiobooks cannot be played on iPods. iPods and Macs do not have the ability to play .wma files with the Digital Rights Management protection currently used by NetLibrary.
