SPECIAL NEEDS STORYTIME” “SPECIAL NEEDS GAMING NIGHT”
The program will begin on
A special story time designed for children with various needs and diagnosis, but any child is welcome to attend. This story time is designed to encourage children to participate while having fun. Activities include a themed story time, activities, and a craft. The story times help teach children life skills, work on memory, tactile input, sensory issues, and help provide an atmosphere that is comfortable for the child with special needs. The story time provides a place where parents can bring their children and meet other parents with children like theirs. Geared for children ages 2 to elementary levels. You can be 14 and still be on an elementary level. Each story time is every Tuesday at 6pm. We encourage pre-registration, this way we have enough supplies for all children attending, and however, it is not necessary.
MONDAY, MAY 3at 5:30.
Geared for school age 8 and up. Students with special needs will be able to choose between playing the Wii and Playstation 2. There will also be card games and various board games. Pre-registration will be requested due to limited space. So come and have some fun. Parental Supervision will be required for all children under 14. For more information, please call the Youth Services of the Valley Community Library at 489-1765, ext 4.
