On Wednesday, January 25 from 5–7 pm, the Valley Library,will hold its first Annual Local Author’s Night. The library invites the public to join us free of charge. Interact with the authors, hear an excerpt of their books and enjoy light refreshments and crafts for the children. Authors will have copies of their books available for sale. Please call the library at 489-1765 to let us know if you will be attending.
The Valley Community Library will be holding a STAR WARS party on Friday, January 21 at 5:30-7:30pm as part of its Children’s Department Fundraising. Tickets are $5 per person and there will be crafts, games, refreshments and photos with Darth Vader! There will also be raffles. Come in costume and get 3 free raffle tickets! There will be a Costume contest with prizes! Tickets now on sale at the library.
The Library has a Reading Club for everyone! Kids can "Warm up with a Good Book" and join by logging how many minutes they read each day and earn prizes! Adults can join "Cabin Fever" & read whatever you like, tell us what you think about htem and be eligible for prizes all through the month of February. Signups begin January 23. Like the Cabin Fever Facebook page and share the books you're reading.
